Dauntless is an upcoming Monster Hunter esque co-op MMO, allowing players to hunt different species and collect loot. A couple of months ago, we were introduced to the first proper gameplay for this game, as the system requirements were also released a short while later. Players can now sign up to enter the first Alpha test that will begin late April.
You can fill out a form to request access, however, it’s not a guaranteed position opener. When submitting, you must already have a Dauntless account, which you can create on the main website and a DxDiag.txt file that you can upload. This is presumably so the team can see what sort of hardware will wish to participate. Also, if you’re accepted, you must sign an agreement which will not allow you to utter a single word of the game or post videos and screenshots.
“Dauntless will be in an early Alpha state and we want you to give feedback even though it’s unfinished. For example, we may turn 500 people loose to fight only Drask for a day to properly balance his encounter. We may unlock a new weapon or armour set to test how well they perform in the heat of battle. There will be bugs, glitches, and unfinished content; it’s all part of the process.”
