Originally launching earlier this year, Super Bomberman R has received a batch of brand new free content. Looking through the list of what is new, there seems to be a pretty decent chunk of new gear, especially for a title that launched months ago.
Included in this update is a new 3v3 game mode, which has apparently been designed especially for future eSports competitive play. Titled Grand Prix, it’ll pit players together in one of two new matches; the first being a Crystal Match, which requires players to run around the arena, collecting crystals as they go, but upon death, they’ll lose half of their collected supply and the team with the most crystals at the end of the match is deemed the winner. The second match in this mode is a simple Bomberman arena, with teams having a specific amount of lives.
Other than this, players can expect to see nine new characters being added to the Switch exclusive title, as well as World 7 for the story mode, new maps and accessories. Konami has even stated that they are not done with future updates, yet. Not half bad, if you ask me.
